Centre of Excellence with OPPO


1. Industry Sponsorship & Strategic Alignment


The OPPO Centre of Excellence was initiated in 2025 as an industry-sponsored collaboration aligned with OPPO’s focus on sustainability, retail operations, digital engagement, and employability-oriented skill development.

The partnership addresses emerging skill requirements in areas such as:

  • Sustainability practices
  • Retail management
  • Customer engagement
  • Brand communication.

As part of its strategic engagement, OPPO sponsored industry-led initiatives that combined social responsibility with skill development.

The collaboration began with the OPPO “Generating Green” Campaign, focused on e-waste collection and environmental awareness, aligning industry sustainability goals with student learning and community impact.

Lloyd Business School was recognized as the Best Institute for the project by OPPO and AICTE, reinforcing the strategic value and industry relevance of the collaboration.

2. Co-Creation of Curriculum & Learning Pathways


Under the OPPO CoE framework, learning pathways were co-designed to integrate real-world industry initiatives into student learning. Instead of standalone theoretical instruction, students engaged with live industry contexts such as sustainability campaigns, retail operations, and digital marketing initiatives.

Learning activities were aligned with:

  • Industry expectations in retail and consumer electronics
  • Practical exposure to sustainability and CSR initiatives
  • Application-based learning through real events and campaigns

This ensured students developed industry-relevant competencies aligned with OPPO’s operational and market practices.

3. Infrastructure & Industry Enablement


The OPPO CoE leveraged industry environments and live platforms as learning infrastructure.

  • Lloyd Business School facilitated student coordination, academic oversight, and learning integration.
  • OPPO provided access to:
    • Live campaign environments (Generating Green Campaign)
    • Industry platforms during the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Fair
    • Retail outlets and operational exposure through internships

4. Faculty Enablement & Academic Integration


Faculty members were actively involved in supervising and mentoring students during OPPO-led initiatives. Continuous interaction with industry professionals enabled faculty to integrate:

  • Sustainability practices
  • Retail operations insights
  • Consumer engagement strategies

into classroom discussions and academic delivery.

5. Experiential Learning: Live Projects & Internships


Experiential learning formed the core of the OPPO CoE model.

Students participated in:

  • The OPPO Generating Green Campaign as a live sustainability project
  • OPPO social media and digital engagement activities during the UP International Trade Fair
  • The OPPO Retail Internship Program, launched in October 2025

Through a structured selection process, 13 students were selected for the OPPO Retail Internship, gaining hands-on experience in:

  • Retail operations
  • Customer engagement
  • Sales processes
  • Brand execution at the ground level

6. Certification, Evaluation & Hiring Linkage


Student performance under the OPPO CoE was evaluated through:

  • Participation and impact in live campaigns
  • Internship performance and industry feedback
  • Faculty and industry mentor assessments

The retail internship program served as a career-readiness and talent identification platform, strengthening hiring linkages and employability outcomes.

7. Governance & Continuous Improvement


The OPPO CoE operates under institutional oversight with continuous coordination between Lloyd Business School and OPPO representatives.
