Lloyd Business School organized an informative Facebook Ads Awareness Workshop, conducted by Mr. Prince and Mr. Ajeetab Kotwal, aimed at providing participants with practical exposure related to Facebook ads – creating and managing campaigns.

The workshop focused on providing students with:

Understanding of why businesses use Facebook & Instagram ads
Working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager
Understanding of ad campaign structure
Audience, objective and ad type awareness, and
Exposure to career opportunities in digital advertising.

The session emphasized experiential learning by combining theoretical concepts with a live demonstration of creating a Facebook Ad campaign using Ads Manager, enabling students to understand how campaigns are structured, targeted, and optimized.

HOUR 1

Introduction & Awareness Building

The workshop began with an introduction to Facebook Ads and Meta Ads Manager, explaining the importance of social media advertising in today's digital era and how Facebook Ads help businesses grow online.

Topics covered included:

  • The evolution of digital advertising and the shift from traditional to digital
  • Why businesses invest in paid ads, and the importance of Facebook/Instagram in India
  • The Facebook Ads ecosystem – Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and Audience Network
  • How Facebook Ads work – the auction system, relevance score, and ads ranking
  • Introduction to Meta Ads Manager – Campaign → Ad Set → Ad structure and dashboard overview
HOUR 2 & 3

Campaign Building Awareness

Mr. Prince explained the basic structure of Facebook Ads, including campaign objectives such as Awareness, Traffic, Engagement, Leads, and Sales, with special emphasis on brand awareness campaigns.

Topics covered included:

  • Ad objectives – Awareness, Consideration, and Conversion categories
  • Audience targeting concepts – demographics, interests, behaviors, custom audiences, and lookalike audiences
  • Budgeting & ad placements – daily vs. lifetime budgets, automatic vs. manual placements
  • Ad creatives – hook → benefit → CTA, and types of creatives (Image, Video, Carousel)
  • Key metrics – Reach, Impressions, CTR, CPC, CPM, and Leads
  • Common mistakes & best practices, and career awareness in digital advertising

Live Campaign Creation Using Ads Manager

A major highlight of the workshop was the live demonstration of creating a Facebook Ad campaign using Ads Manager.

Practical Activities

Students learned how to:

  • Set campaign objectives and define target audiences
  • Allocate budgets for ad campaigns
  • Create attractive ad copies and select images or videos with appropriate call-to-action buttons
  • Monitor ad performance using insights such as reach and impressions
