The objective of the session was to prepare students for evolving managerial roles by developing awareness of emerging leadership challenges, responsibilities, and competencies. The session aimed to help participants understand how the role of managers is changing in response to technological advancement, market dynamics, and social expectations. Another objective was to encourage students to build skills such as adaptability, strategic thinking, ethical leadership, people management, and continuous learning.
The institution organized an expert session on “Future Managers,” delivered by Mr. Abhimanyu, Founder and CEO of Value Prospects, who shared his insights on how management roles are transforming in today’s rapidly changing business environment.
He explained that future managers must move beyond traditional operational roles and become strategic leaders, innovators, and facilitators of change. He emphasized that managers must develop the ability to think critically, respond quickly to change, and lead diverse teams effectively. He discussed the importance of digital awareness, data-driven decision-making, emotional intelligence, and ethical responsibility in modern management. He also highlighted that successful managers must balance performance goals with people development, social responsibility, and long-term sustainability.
Through examples from entrepreneurial and corporate contexts, Mr. Abhimanyu illustrated how managers can navigate uncertainty, manage complexity, and create value for multiple stakeholders. It concluded with an interactive discussion where students reflected on their career aspirations, leadership challenges, and readiness for future managerial roles.
Participants gained an understanding of emerging expectations from future managers and the competencies required for success. They learned the importance of adaptability, ethical leadership, and continuous learning. The session enhanced their readiness for leadership roles and motivated them to develop a responsible and growth-oriented managerial mindset.
