The objective of the session was to strengthen students’ understanding of emotional intelligence and its relevance to professional effectiveness, leadership capability, and personal growth. The session sought to develop competencies such as self-awareness, emotional control, empathy, and interpersonal effectiveness. Another objective was to enable students to handle stress productively, engage positively in teams, and apply emotional intelligence in decision-making and leadership contexts, supporting their overall personal and professional readiness.
The institution organized a session on “Emotional Intelligence,” conducted by Mr. Akshay Agarwal from The Psychology Solutions, who shared psychological insights and practical tools for emotional awareness and development. Mr. Agarwal explained the concept of emotional intelligence and its key components, including self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. He highlighted how emotional intelligence influences decision-making, leadership effectiveness, teamwork, and personal well-being. He discussed how individuals with high emotional intelligence are better equipped to handle stress, manage conflict, communicate effectively, and build positive relationships. Practical examples and
activities were used to help participants reflect on their emotional patterns and behavioral responses.
The session included interactive exercises, self-assessment activities, and group discussions that encouraged students to identify their strengths and areas for improvement.Mr. Agarwal emphasized that emotional intelligence can be developed over time through reflection, practice, and conscious effort. The session concluded with encouragement for students to apply emotional intelligence principles in their academic, professional, and personal lives.
