Objective:

The objective of the session was to introduce students to the fundamentals of investing and financial markets and to build awareness about responsible investment practices. The session aimed to help participants understand the importance of financial planning, risk management, and informed decision-making, also to encourage financial literacy among students and enable them to become informed, responsible, and confident investors.

Detailed Report:

 The institution organized an investor awareness session titled "An Introduction to the World of Investments," conducted by Ms. Neha Nene, Consultant and Trainer at the National Stock Exchange (NSE), who shared her expertise on financial markets and investment fundamentals.

She explained the basic concepts of investing, including equities, bonds, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, and derivatives.

She described how financial markets operate and the role of stock exchanges in facilitating transparent and regulated trading.

She also emphasized the importance of financial discipline, long-term planning, diversification, and understanding risk before making investment decisions. Ms. Nene also highlighted common mistakes made by new investors and shared guidelines on how to avoid them.

The session covered topics such as investor rights, regulatory safeguards, market risks, and ethical investing. She encouraged students to begin their investment journey early, remain informed, and adopt a disciplined and responsible approach.
