Objective:
The objective of the session was to enhance students' understanding of financial concepts and their importance in managerial decision-making. The institution organized an expert session on "Financial Literacy for Aspiring
Managers, " delivered by Prof. Uttam Kumar, Trainer & Coach at SEBI, who shared
his expertise on financial awareness and responsible financial behavior. He had
explained fundamental financial concepts such as budgeting, saving, investing,
compounding, risk-return trade-offs, and diversification. He emphasized the
importance of financial planning for both individuals and organizations.
He
discussed different financial instruments, including equities, bonds, mutual funds,
and insurance, and explained their role in wealth creation and risk protection.
Prof. Kumar also highlighted the functioning Of financial markets and the role of
