MLloyd Business School, Greater Noida organized International Conference on Contemporary Issues in Management (ICCIM)-2024 on 15th and 16th March, 2024. The Conference witnessed delegates like Mr. Apurba Chakraborty (Head- Domestic Channel Business, India Groz Engineering Tools (P) Ltd.), Dr. Hala Faissal (Head-Economics Department, Lebanese University & FullBright Scholar -Temple University, USA), Col. Dr. Jyotirmaya Satpathy (Research Director, Neurointegral Scientific Institute of Colombia), Dr. Shad Ahmad Khan (Program Chair-Business Administration, University of Buraimi, Oman), Professor Dr. Wolfgang Rams (Professor and Senior Researcher, European Institute of Management, Malta), on the first day of conference, to name a few. The first day of the conference incorporated an inaugural session and three technical sessions. Mr. Apurba Chakraborty (Head- Domestic Channel Business, India Groz Engineering Tools (P) Ltd.) enlightened the attendees on being a conscious consumer, and being considerate towards the environment. Col. Dr. Jyotirmaya Satpathy (Research Director, Neurointegral Scientific Institute of Colombia) spoke about the concept of “Vasudhev Kutumbkam” applicable to businesses thereby encapsulating Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management. On the second day, the guests of eminence were Mr. Amit Mahensaria (CEO, upGrad Campus), Mr. Rajiv Gulati (Managing Partner, Gladwin International). Speakers in panel discussion would include Dr. Sanjeev Chaturvedi (Chief Academic Advisor, European Institute of Management, Malta), Ms. Shipra Lavania (HR Leader- Invest India, Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India), Dr. Balamurugan Balaswamy (Professor /Associate Dean-Student Engagement, Shiv Nadar University) to name a few. The Chief Strategy Officer and Group Director, Dr. Vandana Arora Sethi during her address highlighted how the journey of Lloyd over past 20 years has enabled in inculcating the learnings in transforming the education imparted to students by virtue of international collaborations, and constantly upgrading the content being taught.
More than 250 abstracts have been received for this conference, across the world including Cambodia and Morocco and renowned educational institutions like BHU, AMU, DU and Lucknow University. More than 750 delegates have registered for this international conference. There was a panel discussion on "Global Collaboration for Sustainable Development through Innovation, Technology and Management" and a Workshop on Case Analysis was also be conducted. These discussions highlighted various aspects like considering people the core of a business, technology not just being sufficient but also being necessary and AI being the need of the hour and youngsters being more focused on risk-taking, innovation and creativity. The conference witnessed a diverse participation across the domains and enabled fruitful exchange of knowledge amongst the participants.
