Objective:
The primary objective of the session was to provide students with an in-depth understanding of contemporary industry practices and evolving business trends across multiple sectors. The session aimed to help students comprehend how organizations operate in real-world environments and how they respond to technological advancement, market competition, regulatory changes, and sustainability pressures. The institution organized an expert session on "Industry Practices," delivered by Mr. Naveen Seth, Deputy Secretary General, PhD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Academic Advisory Board Member, who shared his extensive experience and insights on industry functioning, policy engagement, and organizational excellence.
Mr. Seth discussed the structure and functioning of various industries, including manufacturing, services, trade, and emerging sectors such as digital commerce and green technologies.
He explained how businesses continuously adapt to rapid technological change, globalization, shifting consumer behavior, and regulatory flameworks. Ile emphasized the importance of quality standards, innovation, customer focus, and sustainability In achieving long-term organizational success. Mt Seth highlighted that organizations that invest In innovation, skill development, and ethical practices are better positioned to remain competitive and resilient.
He also elaborated on the role of industry bodies such as the PhD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in supporting businesses through policy advocacy, industry research, capacity building, training programs, and facilitating dialogue between industry, government, and academia.
