The Finance Club of Lloyd Business School organized an insightful online Expert Talk on “Financial Wisdom” on 27 November 2024 under the guidance of Faculty Coordinators Mr. Sachin Sinha and Dr. Pooja Agarwal. The session was conducted virtually on the Zoom platform with the objective of strengthening financial awareness among PGDM students and equipping them with essential financial knowledge for both personal and professional domains.
The session commenced at 11:15 AM with a welcome address by the Finance Club members, followed by a formal introduction of the invited expert. The speaker elaborated on key aspects of financial literacy, including budgeting, saving, investment avenues, risk assessment, and long-term wealth creation. Real-world examples and digital financial tools were discussed to help students understand practical applications of financial concepts in today's technology-driven financial ecosystem.
The expert also emphasized the importance of strategic financial planning and discussed instruments such as Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs), mutual funds, emergency funds, and diversified investment portfolios. The interactive nature of the online session allowed students to actively participate through live questions in the chat box and during the Q&A segment. Queries related to stock markets, tax planning, inflation, and personal finance strategies were addressed by the speaker in detail.
Despite being conducted online, the session witnessed high engagement, with students attentively participating throughout the discussion. The faculty coordinators appreciated the Finance Club's efforts in organizing a meaningful and well-coordinated virtual session that effectively utilized digital learning tools.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the expert, faculty coordinators, and student participants for their valuable contribution to the success of the session.
