The Sports Club of Lloyd Business School organized an Inter-College Sports Competition – Cricket Championship on 28 February 2025 under the guidance of Faculty Coordinator Mr. Sachin Sinha and Mr. Akash Gaur. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various colleges, with each team consisting of a minimum of 11 and a maximum of 13 players, as per the competition guidelines. Participation charges were ₹1500 per team.
The tournament followed a league-cum-knockout format. Each match comprised 8 overs per side, with 2 overs of powerplay at the beginning of the innings. As per the rules, each bowler was allowed to bowl a maximum of 2 overs, ensuring fair participation and strategic planning from all teams. The final match of the championship was extended to 10 overs per side to enhance the competitive intensity.
The matches commenced at 9:30 AM, and the ground was filled with excitement and vibrant sportsmanship throughout the day. Students from multiple colleges displayed exceptional cricketing skills, teamwork, and tactical gameplay. Spectators actively cheered for the teams, adding to the energetic environment.
A major highlight of the event was the cash prize distribution. The winning team received an exciting cash prize of ₹15,000, while the runner-up team was awarded ₹7,100, acknowledging their efforts and competitive performance. The prize distribution ceremony marked a memorable conclusion to the event.
The Cricket Championship successfully achieved its objective of promoting competitive sports culture and creating a collaborative platform for students across different institutions. The event concluded with appreciation for all teams, volunteers, and coordinators who contributed to its smooth execution.
