Objectives:

The objective of the session was to expose students to practical management insights derived from real-world organizational experience. The session aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical management concepts and their application in dynamic business environments. Another objective was to help students understand essential managerial competencies such as leadership, communication, decision-making, adaptability, and ethical responsibility.

Detailed Report:

The institution organized an expert talk on “Management Lessons,” delivered by Mr. Anand Pillai, Director – Logarithm HR, who shared valuable perspectives drawn from his professional experience in human resources and organizational consulting.Mr. Pillai emphasized that effective management is rooted in self-awareness, continuous learning, and people-centric leadership. He discussed the importance of communication, trust-building, and emotional intelligence in managing teams and resolving workplace challenges.

He highlighted that managers must be adaptable and open to change in order to respond effectively to evolving business conditions, technological disruption, and workforce diversity. Mr. Pillai also stressed the role of ethical decision-making and integrity in building sustainable organizations.

Practical examples and case-based illustrations were shared to demonstrate how leadership behavior directly influences organizational culture, employee engagement, and performance outcomes.The session concluded with advice to students to develop a growth mindset, seek continuous feedback, and cultivate professional discipline and accountability in their future careers.
