Objectives:

The primary objective of this session under the Campus to Corporate Series was to enhance students’ understanding of leadership dynamics in modern organizational environments. It aimed to equip future managers with practical knowledge on performance management, process optimization, and effective leadership styles. Another key objective was to provide PGDM students with direct exposure to industry expectations by learning from an experienced professional, enabling them to bridge academic learning with real-world corporate practices.

Lloyd Business School organized a highly insightful session titled “Navigating Performance and Process as a Leader” on Friday, April 4th, 2025, at 3:00 PM, exclusively for the PGDM Batch 2024–26. The session was a part of the prestigious Campus to Corporate Series, designed to prepare students for corporate readiness and leadership roles. The session was led by Mr. Abhishek Misra, Senior Manager – Infrastructure Services, Cloud & Datacenter Expert, and alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad.

Mr. Misra began by highlighting the importance of leadership in driving team performance. He explained how leaders must not only motivate individuals but also create systems and processes that encourage consistency, accountability, and high productivity. He discussed various leadership frameworks, emphasizing the balance between people management and operational efficiency. Through real-life examples from the cloud and datacenter industry, he demonstrated how process standardization, workflow design, and performance metrics contribute to an organization’s long-term success.

The session further explored the challenges leaders face in fast-paced corporate environments, including technological disruptions, evolving customer expectations, and cross-functional coordination. Mr. Misra shared practical strategies for managing high-performing teams, such as adopting data-driven decision-making, establishing transparent communication channels, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Students also learned about the relevance of emotional intelligence, adaptability, and problem-solving in leadership roles. The interactive nature of the session encouraged students to ask questions, engage in discussions, and gain clarity on corporate leadership expectations.

The session enabled students to gain a deeper understanding of how leaders influence performance and manage complex processes within an organization. Students learned the significance of aligning team goals with organizational objectives to enhance productivity. Additionally, students developed a better appreciation for data-driven management and the importance of continuous learning to remain competitive
