Detailed Report:
Day 1: Introduction to Outcome Based Education
The first day of the FDP focused on introducing the concept and philosophy of Outcome
Based Education (OBE). The session explained the need for transitioning from
traditional content-based education to an outcome-oriented approach.
Key areas discussed included:

- Understanding the structure of learning outcomes.
The session helped participants build a strong conceptual foundation of OBE
principles.
Day 2: Curriculum Design and Outcome Mapping
The second day emphasized the practical implementation of OBE through curriculum
design and outcome mapping. Faculty members were trained to align academic processes
with defined learning outcomes.
Major topics covered were:
- Designing Program Outcomes (POs) and Course Outcomes (COs).
- Mapping COs with POs and institutional objectives.
- Developing outcome-based lesson plans.
- Integrating teaching and learning strategies with desired outcomes.
The sessions were interactive and enabled participants to understand outcome
alignment across academic programs.
Day 3: Assessment, Evaluation, and Continuous Improvement
The final day focused on assessment and evaluation mechanisms under the OBE
framework. Participants learned how to measure and analyze learning outcomes for
continuous academic improvement.
Key discussions included:
- Designing outcome-based assessment tools.
- Measuring attainment of course and program outcomes.
- Use of assessment data for continuous improvement.
- Ensuring quality assurance and accreditation compliance through OBE practices.
The FDP concluded with reflections on adopting OBE as a sustainable and effective
educational approach.
