Experiential Learning Initiative
As part of an industry-oriented experiential learning initiative, students were provided with an exceptional opportunity to engage with OPPO, a globally recognized technology brand, through a structured exposure and internship selection process. This initiative was organized under the CSR Club of Lloyd Business School, conducted under the senior guidance of Ms. Vajeeha and faculty coordination of Dr. Neetu Kamra.
The initiative began with the first task, which required students to visit the OPPO Exhibition held at Expo Mart. This visit aimed to familiarize students with OPPO’s product portfolio, technological innovations, and brand positioning in the global market. The exhibition served as the foundational stage of the selection process and provided valuable insights into OPPO’s presence and operations.
Following the exhibition visit, students were assigned a creative task that involved producing a reel based on the exhibition experience. This activity was designed to assess students’ creativity, communication skills, and digital marketing capabilities. The reels were evaluated as part of the selection criteria, and successful participants advanced to the next round of the process.
Subsequently, students were invited for an industrial visit to the OPPO manufacturing facility. During this visit, students gained comprehensive exposure to OPPO’s operational ecosystem. They were briefed in detail on how the company functions across various departments, including manufacturing operations, product testing, software handling, digital platforms, workflow management, and overall organizational processes. The visit provided in-depth knowledge about where, how, and through which systems OPPO conducts its operations at different levels.
Throughout the factory visit, students were also provided opportunities to capture photographs and videos. This was an integral part of the task, as students were required to create and submit reels and reports highlighting OPPO’s brand value and showcasing how they could contribute to promoting the brand through their own social media platforms. The objective was to evaluate how effectively students could position OPPO on digital platforms using their individual creativity and understanding of branding.
Upon successful completion and evaluation of all assigned tasks, 13 students were selected out of 30 participants. These selected students were offered a three-month internship with OPPO, marking a significant achievement and a prestigious opportunity, given OPPO’s status as a global brand.
