Lloyd Champions League– 2019

“Lloyd Champions League– 2019”, Lloyd’s 3rd annual inter-college sports meet was held at the Lloyd’s campus from 7th to 9th March’19. The sports meet was inaugurated on 7th March’19 by the District Jailer of G. B. Nagar, Mr. Satya Prakash while the students took an oath to treat this event as a symbol of sincere & healthy competition. Students from various colleges like, G.N.I.O.T, G.L.Bajaj, Galgotias Institute, G.B.U., J.I.M.S, H.I.M.T, N.I.E.T., Accurate, Mangalmay and Skyline participated in indoors and outdoors sports.

The event took place in the span of 3 days where games such as Volleyball, Cricket, Races, Badminton, Carom, Chess and many more. The events were held under the keen supervision of referees belonging to that particular sport. The event started off with a brief explanation of the rules by referees. The much anticipated Cricket while the various events lined up for the day progressed. Winners of the 100 meter race amongst girls were 1st Riya Ranjan, 2nd Harshita from Lloyd Law College and 3rd Pooja Bansal from Lloyd while Md. Afridi from Mangalmay bagged 1st position amongst boys, 2nd Abhishek Bhati from G.B.U and 3rd Shubham Soni from Lloyd Business School. In 200 meter race, 1st Riya Ranjan, 2nd Pooja Bansal & 3rd Manishi Sharma from Lloyd amongst girls. The 200 meter race winners amongst boys were, 1st Amit Kumar- G.B.U, 2nd Yash Tyagi- G.N.I.O.T. & 3rd Amit Chauhan- Lloyd. In Chess, Rachna from Lloyd bagged the first position while Harshita Arora from Lloyd Law College was the runner up amongst girls. Utkarsh Roy from G.L.Bajaj bagged the first postion in Chess amongst boys while Shubhendra Trivedi from Lloyd Law College was the runner up. In Carom-duals, 1st Bushra Sayeed & Megha from Lloyd and Samiksha Bhati & Komal Tiwari from Lloyd were the runner-ups. Amongst boys, Nadeem & Nikhil from Lloyd Law College bagged the first position in Carom while Hitesh & Mohit from Lloyd were the runner-ups. In Badminton 1st Shweta, 2nd Neha Sharma from Lloyd and 3rd Garima from Lloyd Law college.The Star attractions of the event, Cricket and Volleyball were bagged by G.L Bajaj and G.N.I.O.T, respectively.


The events ended on an unbiased, healthy note. Mr. Anand Kumar Singh, Social Welfare Officer of G.B.U., Chief-Guest of the Valedictory function, welcomed the gathering and encourage the students to participate in various competition conducted by other institutions. The winners of each events were announced while the medals and certificate were distributed. Concluding around 5:00 p.m. with a quick photo session, the event came to an end with an overwhelming response by the students which indubitably signified their appreciation of the fact that they received a platform to showcase their talent.
