Lloyd College proudly announces its first flagship literary and cultural annual fest which would take place from 27th February 2020 to 1st March 2020 “, Catalyst 2020”is a four days event’. Passion, courage, power, enthusiasm and high loaded energy are the few requisites of this event adding essence. Catalyst presents 12` cultural events, 10 academic events and 5 celebrity events. This event is a beautiful exemplification of solidarity in diversity.

Catalyst provides the youth the platform where you can interact with people having different opinion and outlook towards social happenings. The four-day event comprising of different celebrities, your tubers and eminent personalities. Lawyers and politicians can be one of the attractions but this not alone, numerous opportunities will also come where one can swagger the internal talent. Not only Greater Noida Delhi/ NCR, over 1500 participants across the country (from Tamil Nadu to Kashmir) have also participated in the event.

Mr Manohar Thairani (President of Lloyd Group of Institutes) along with Prof. Vandana Arora Sethi (Group Director, Lloyd) inaugurated the ceremony along with the chief guest of the day Sushri Debasree Chaudhri (Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Government of India) and Mr. Gopal Krishna Agarwal (BJP National spokesperson) on 27th of February, 2020. The Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Welfare appreciated the program at the inauguration of the annual festival.

1st Day (27th February, 2020):

The entire day was surrounded by a number of successive events covering a strength of more than 1000 of viewers, say, Photography/Videography Briefing, Trial Advocacy Competition, Lloyd Mediation & Negotiation Competition, Inaugural Ceremony, Book Discussion Session-1 (Mr. Swapan Das Gupta, Member of Rajya Sabha- Awakening Bharat Mata), Talk Show Session-1 ( Politics of Youth-“Trend and Agenda Setting”) by Ms. Charu Pragya, BJP Delhi spokesperson, Dr. Ajay Kumar, former MP and AAP spokesperson, Mr. Anupam, Yuva halla Bol Organizer, Ms. Sharmistha Mukherjee, Congress.Senior critic Yogendra Yadav reacted strongly to the current Indian scenario and expressed his views. He said that I want India not before 1947, but after that. He said that youthful thinking does not just mean black hair. This means that ideas and methods should be young.

Humour Knot, A Comedy Eve by Vijay Yadav ,Harsh Gujral , Sonali Thakker and at last, it was the performane of Madari Band.

2nd Day (28th February,2020):

The Day was initiated by the Trial Advocacy Competition, Preliminary round 1&2, followed by the solo dance contest, in which students from various colleges had performed well and presented their dancing skills. After that Mediation and Negotiation Competition was there (both preliminary rounds 1&2), Book Discussion-2 was there taken by Mr. Aman Hingoraini on “Unravelling the Kashmir Knot”, Talk Show Session-2 by Jatin Sharma, Mr. Yogendra Yadav, Chandra Kumar Bose (Grand Nephew of SC Bose, Vice-President of BJP Bengal) and the day was closed by the Poetry Competition, where Students expressed their thoughts accompanied by beautiful words.

The main attraction was Musical Night by Dr. Kumar Vishwas who rule the young hearts and also inspire youngsters to move forward in life. For about 90 minutes at Lloyd college’s Catalyst 2020, Kumar Vishwas tied the poem through his poems.

3rd Day Event ( 29th Feb, 2020)

The main attraction of third day event “Catalyst 2020” was marking the beginning with a Talk show "Let's Talk- A Panel Discussion on " What Young India Wants? with eminent Entertainers from Bollywood Mr. Paritosh Sand, Mr. Akhilendra Mishra and Mr. Kamlesh Mishra under the umbrella of Catalyst'2020, the day does not ends here we had enthralling sessions like Sufi Night by Nizami Brothers- A beautiful translation of poetry into music which takes up to mystical journey of Sufism. The softness of the voice, the magic of the talent of transforming existing tracks in their own unique style, Nizami Bandhu spread the positivity all over with their soothing voice and melody.

4th Day Event ( 1st March, 2020 )

The day marked its journey with Abhivyakti- Street Play competition followed by En Vogue - Fashion Show where around 20+ teams participated from various colleges and universities like DU, Amity, Sharda etc.

The entire ground of Lloyd Geared up to dance and sway to the tunes of Jass Manak, who mesmerised everyone with his voice, and made the audience tap to his beats.

The four day extravaganza came to end with EDM Night - Dancing to the tunes of Olly Esse and Johnnie Ernest. The four day flagship literary and cultural annual fest marked the footsteps for the next year leaving lots of memories under the umbrella of Lloyd.
