Objectives:

To make students understand the basics of “Python” language and enhance their skill set in the coding domain.

Detailed Report:

Detailed Report: An insightful and interactive 8 days workshop on ‘Python’ was held for the PGDM-Business Analytics students starting from 17th December’22 in IBM lab at Campus 1. It was organised by the ‘Grey Matter Club’ which is the business analytics club of Lloyd Business School.

For the workshop we had Sarika Agarwal ma’am , SME Python. The workshop began by making students learn about the fundamentals of Python and how Python being platform independent is a dynamic language. Students also learnt about ‘Logical and Bitwise Operators’, ‘If-Else and nested if functions’, ‘Loops’ and ‘List’.

Students were given problem statements and they learned how to write programs to solve them. This whole process involved logical thinking of students. The workshop made students got practical knowledge of Python as it is a high-level, interpreted programming language that is widely used in various fields, including software development, scientific computing, data analysis, artificial intelligence and web development.

Learning Outcomes: The workshop on Python enhanced students’ problem-solving skills as Python is a versatile language that can be used to solve a variety of problems. By learning Python, students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills that can be applied to many areas.
