How to apply for MBA without coaching?

MBA is gaining popularity amongst students from vivid streams with each passing day. It has become one of the most sought after courses that students are investing their time in. After graduation, pursuing an MBA program broadens the career horizon of the students. A number of career options are available for a candidate with an MBA degree.

But most of the times students find it difficult to understand the admission process of the top business schools of the country. It becomes cumbersome if the student has not received coaching for the MBA preparation. Appear in CAT/MAT/NMAT exam

  • Download admit card to appear in the exam
  • Adhere to reporting time and exam day instructions

Shortlisting by the MBA colleges

  • MBA college to announce shortlist after Exam result
  • Check B school website and your email , if shortlisted

Final selection round by MBA college

  • Check GD/PI dates announced by B school
  • Final admission offer in April/May as per merit list

The top MBA colleges follow almost similar admission process, the difference lies in their acceptability of the MBA entrance exam score. For instance IIMs accept CAT exam score, XLRI accepts XAT exam score, NMIMS accepts NMAT exam score, IIFT accepts its own IIFT entrance exam score whereas Lloyd Business School accepts CAT/MAT/CMAT/ ATMA/LMAT exam score . All the leading B schools in India follow the 4 step admission process as discussed above.

Besides the admission process it is very important for a student to have an insight into the placement record of the top B schools in India. As per the record of 2018 , IIM Ahmedabad has been on the top of the chart with the highest domestic package with top recruiters being Accenture, Amazon, Boston Consulting Group, HSBC, JP Morgan, Airtel, HUL, TAS, Microsoft etc followed by IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta . The other institutes where students were offered good packages include SPJIMR Mumbai, FMS Delhi  ,XLRI Jamshedpur , IIFT, MDI Gurgaon and Lloyd Business School –Greater Noida.
