Lloyd Business School conducted an Orientation Programme - Genesis for its new 13th PGDM batch of 2022-2024. Genesis is a five days long event from 25th July to 29th July 2022 and is envisaged to help students adjust to their new academic environment & role and align expectations to the values that Lloyd upholds as a college and community together. The inaugural event was presided by the President – of Lloyd Group of Institutions, Mr. Manohar Thairani, Rohan Thairani, Group Director and Strategic officer, Lloyd Group of Institutes - Dr. Vandana Arora Sethi, industry experts, faculties, students, and their parents in the campus.

The inaugural day was marked by the welcome address of Strategic Officer and Group Director, Lloyd - Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Arora Sethi. The Keynote speaker Mr. Mayank Chattwal, Secretary – Chamber of Industry and Commerce and a Ph.D. Scholars encouraged students to inculcate team building. The panel discussion on the topic “Trends and demands of the industry today” was scheduled for the day. The panelists were - Mr. Nitin Johnson, lead campus hiring north – TCS, Ms. Deepika Gosain, Senior Vice President – BW Business World Global Media Network, and Mr. Ashav Kaushik – Founder and CEO of Wingman Partners. The panelists shared their views on the rising demand in the industry for up-skilling of the employee, being street smart, and in the end elaborated on the importance of character building, adaptability, and flexibility are a few things one student should keep in mind which shall give them success.

The other 4 days of Genesis embarked on the introduction of the courses and specialization (Business Analytics, Human resources, marketing, Supply chain management, finance) for the PGDM batch. The insightful session on the "mantra to success" by SMEs was led by the execution of outbound activities. Introduction of the respective specialized faculties, discussions, and talks with the eminent industry experts, launch of Lloyd’s annual magazine - Chronicles. There were 2 Industrial visits with the training and placement team on 26th July to Ashtech Group and on 27th July to Manitou Group. The outbound activities were very fruitful to the students and helped them to explore the other end of the horizon.

The assimilation day - 5 commenced with the rejuvenating yoga session for the students by Mr. Abhishek. It was followed by an insightful session on “Cyber security and Industry awareness” by Mr. Ashok Sangwan- Head of Program Management, Wipro Ltd.

Prof (Dr.) Vandana Arora Sethi appreciated the winners of the quizzes and other activities held in the past 4 days and also encouraged the efforts of the students by awarding them.

Genesis was led by industry stalwarts, eminent academicians, and professionals renowned in their field and committed to nurturing young talent. The 5 days event was filled with knowledge, values, and ice-breaking activities which helped the students to mingle and get to know each other better.
