Market with Memes competition for all graduate and post graduate students

We, at Lloyd, strongly believe that creativity has no boundaries. Keeping in mind the ever-changing Marketing environment, we spotted the crucial role of Social Media and Memes where brands can acquire, engage, and expand their horizons in the field of creative advertising.

On 22nd March, 2021, the Marketing Club – Topliners successfully organized “Market with Memes” competition for all graduate and post graduate students of the institute under the guidance of faculty in charge Dr. Krity Gulati.

We, at Lloyd, strongly believe that creativity has no boundaries. Keeping in mind the ever-changing Marketing environment, we spotted the crucial role of Social Media and Memes where brands can acquire, engage, and expand their horizons in the field of creative advertising. “Market with Memes” aimed to transform the traditional style of selling an idea into a trendsetter approach. Hence, the competition encouraged students from all fields to participate and shine individually.

First Round – Consisted of conceptualizing a meme, targeting, and drafting the meme on paper and secondly transforming it into a picture/video to submit within a given time limit of 24 hrs.

Second Round – Selected students were informed to post their memes on their personal social media accounts in order to implement the task on personal risk of losing or winning likes, shares, comments, and engagement again with the time limit of 24 hrs.

This allowed the students to understand and compare the social media engagement of audience on their regular posts versus the creative meme.

Third Round – Further, in final round theywere required them to present a PPT, explaining their Meme Strategy to the panel and other students. Considering the COVID-19 situation, the final round was held online on Zoom platform. After evaluations, 2 winners were announced by the panel of faculty members.
